Letters written by Kain to Inessa over the course of 9:43-9:44 Dragon. He carried them in a hidden pocket wherever he went, not noticing them after he lost his mind to red lyrium in mid-9:44. The letters were among the personal effects that were found on him after he was killed in Bloomingtide, 9:45.

All crossed out parts are generally scribbled or crossed over, but could be deciphered with a bit of work.

DISTINGUISHING FEATURES: Large scar across his chest, quite a few more all over his body. There's another huge scar across his back, but a dragon tattoo largely covers it. He has a shard in his left hand which he keeps hidden under gloves at the moment.

Status

Just arrived from Griffon Wing Keep, he was among the Wardens saved at Weisshaupt. Spends his time training, wandering high places, or chilling in the Warden house.

Reputation

Dragonslayer. Grey Warden. Reaver. Known for being serious and dependable in battle. Vague but still eerie resemblance to some dead guy (seriously guys that's creepy, stop it). Common Kain tropes.

Tier 4 Armor (reward item): His standard Grey Warden armor has been overlaid with dragon scales, thanks to his participation in a dragon slaying.

Specialized Housing (reward item): A cave somewhere in the Vimmark Mountains, well away from any other settlements (Dalish etc). It's pretty out of the way and high up, so not usually disturbed by anyone else, but still reachable by most mounts. The dragon that Kain and a team slayed formerly lived here.

Dragongut Whiskey (reward item): A bottle of whisky labelled DRAGONGUT with a drawing of a dragon beneath it, and no other information. It looks like whisky, and it tastes like whisky, and it will cause whoever drinks it to feel like they need to belch—at which point they'll breathe fire. Mind wooden furniture.

A hideous clown outfit from a mission to stop a lyrium-infected bear at a circus.

A purse of gold—enough to buy a decent horse or its weight in mead and Dragonskin, fireproof horse tack, both awards from coming in second in the Joust at the Grand Tourney.

PETS AND MOUNTS

Zephyr/Highwind: A Hunter Shade Dracolisk, formerly belonging to the deceased Kain Highwind. He's nicknamed her after her former owner. Stubborn, brave, and loyal.

Bastard: A parrot with a foul-mouth, who knows curse words in all languages. Takes great pleasure in disrupting chantry services. Formerly owned by a dwarf friend of Kain's, mistakenly latched on to the rifter at one point, but now has been reunited with his original Kain friend.

Potato: A light grey female griffon... she likes to be high up, is very coordinated, and not entirely aware that she isn't a Lap Griffon. He and Inessa have both bonded with her so far.
